Firstly, this is typically where the largest crowds gather while waiting for the lavatory. Secondly, this zone is often equipped with bassinet mounts for infant cots, making proximity to crying babies during takeoff and landing almost a guarantee.

Furthermore, the flight attendant strongly advises against any seats bordering the galley. This area never sleeps: the crew is constantly preparing beverages, rearranging metal meal carts, and discussing operational details.
