— Joining Harry Winston is considered a major milestone in the jewelry world. What does this transition mean to you personally and professionally?

For me, Harry Winston represents one of the highest levels of jewelry excellence. It is a House with extraordinary standards, heritage, and respect for gemstones. When you work in jewelry professionally, especially in New York, Harry Winston is a name that carries enormous weight inside the industry.

Professionally, this transition means entering an environment where craftsmanship, diamonds, and technical precision are elevated to the absolute highest level. Personally, it is also a moment that reflects years of education, discipline, and commitment to this field.

— You previously worked at Tiffany & Co. How different are the cultures of these iconic jewelry houses?

Both houses are legendary, but they have different identities and philosophies.

Tiffany & Co. has a strong cultural presence and an instantly recognizable design language. Harry Winston feels more focused on exceptional gemstones, high jewelry heritage, and diamond-centered craftsmanship. Inside the industry, Harry Winston has a very special reputation because of its history with some of the world’s most important diamonds.

For me, experiencing both environments is incredibly valuable professionally because it gives a wider understanding of luxury jewelry from different perspectives.

— What makes your expertise unique within the jewelry industry today?

My background combines several worlds at once — jewelry design, gemology, bench jewelry, manufacturing, production systems, and quality management.

Usually people specialize in only one area. Some are designers, some are gemologists, some work only in manufacturing. I was interested in understanding the complete journey of jewelry creation — from gemstone evaluation and technical construction to production workflows and final quality standards.

That combination gives me a much deeper understanding of how jewelry is created on both artistic and technical levels.

— What trends do you believe will define the future of high jewelry?

I believe we are entering a period where craftsmanship and authenticity will become even more important.

Clients today are highly educated. They want to understand gemstones, sourcing, craftsmanship, and the story behind a piece. There is also growing appreciation for technical mastery and hand fabrication.

Another important direction is the intersection between traditional craftsmanship and technology. CAD systems, advanced production technologies, and digital presentation are becoming increasingly important, but at the same time true hand craftsmanship is becoming even more valuable because it is rare.

I also believe we will continue seeing stronger individuality in jewelry. Clients want pieces with identity and emotional meaning rather than simply recognizable logos.

— What are your professional ambitions for the next stage of your career?

I want to continue developing within the highest level of the luxury jewelry industry while deepening my expertise in gemstones, manufacturing, and high jewelry craftsmanship.

At the same time, education remains very important to me. I am currently working on professional books dedicated to jewelry production and jewelry knowledge, and I also plan to continue giving educational lectures focused on craftsmanship, manufacturing, and the technical side of jewelry creation.

— And finally, what does New York mean to you today as a jewelry professional?

New York is one of the few places in the world where jewelry, fashion, art, luxury, and business exist at the same intensity. The city constantly pushes you to grow professionally.

For me, Manhattan it is a place where the future of luxury is continuously being shaped and I feel great being part of this process.
